Message from Lucinda Spokes below - anyone interested to organise something at the space?
I am delighted to announce that our bid to host European Researchers Night has been successful (https://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/news/2018/european-researchers-night-2018-2019_en).
In collaboration with Wellcome Genome Campus, EMBL-EBI, Babraham Institute and MRC-LMB, we are one of four successful projects funded in the UK and one of 55 across the whole of Europe. This is the first time Cambridge has hosted this event and, as part of our project, LIFE LAB, we will be bringing hands-on science to people who might not normally visit events such as Cambridge Science Festival in places around Cambridge and Peterborough.
European Researchers Night takes place on Friday 28 September 2018 and we are very keen to hear from groups who would like to be involved – through hands-on activities, pop up talks, science comedy, music etc. As the initiative is part of Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions, we are very keen to hear from Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellows so I would really appreciate it if you could also forward on this message to any Fellows in your departments.
European Researchers Night showcases what researchers do for society in interactive and engaging ways, promoting research careers to young people and their parents. We hope you would like to be part of this.
